Merry Christmas

All the best for a merry Christmas and a happy holiday. 2012 has ended  after a very successful year. Room 14 at Redwood School was a class of delightful, beautiful young children who were enthusiastic in everything they did. Good luck for your futures.

Pizza Lunch and Movie

Thank you to Jo and her PFG team for the yummy pizza lunch and movie. We won the Pohutukawa reward for raising the most money for the Duathlon and a big huge than you to our big huge fundraiser CALLUM. The pizza was delicious and the movie was great.

Speech Competition

Congratulations to Ceridwyn, Molly and Ashton for reaching the finals of the Pohutukawa Speech Finals last week.
We are very proud of Ashton who won the Year 4 competition.

The Solar Eclipse

We were fascinated by the Solar Eclipse today. We had two pair of eclipse glasses and there was a long line of children (and teachers) lining up to get a look at the eclipse. The reaction was similar from everyone - oh wow! it's amazing! can I look again?  

We noticed the light dimmed and the temperature cooled for about 20 minutes. 

Wellington's next eclipse will be in 16 years, how old will you be then?

Swimming Starts Tomorrow

Our swimming lessons begin tomorrow, Thursday 15th November.

Please have a swimming bag and walking shoes for our walk to Tawa School.

All clothing needs to be named.
